Course duration

In general, it is said that a B1 is the basic prerequisite to feel comfortable in a working environment.

In the appendix, you will find the different course lengths with the corresponding linguistic competencies.

Course duration according to the profile of the student:

  • A1 (after GER) 160 – 200 training sessions (45 Minutes).
  • A2 (after GER) 320 – 400 TS´s.
  • B1 (after GER) 480 – 600 TS´s.
  • B2 (after GER) 640 – 800 TS´s.

Short and Crash courses

For short and crash courses, we have the opportunity to focus on specific language skills, regardless of level.
This is useful:

  • If the necessary time does not exist to plan a full course duration of several months.
  • If there is a possibility to continue with the linguistic training in Germany.
  • If the general language in the workplace is English.
  • If the job requires no high level of language skills in German.

General courses (without vocational priorities)

54 training sessions of 45 Minutes

Communicative learning goal: The participants can greet and adopt the appropriate communicative situation as well as presents themselves and others. The presentation includes information about the name, address, place of residence, age, hobbies, occupation, language and nationality, even if the formulations are still very simply structured.

The student can provide written personal information on a questionnaire and understand single words, for example on signs and posters.

The learners can ask simple personal questions, formulate easy requests and agree on the question-answer style. They understand presentations from a person, questions, requests and simple descriptions of directions. They can follow basic conversations about food when the communicate partners speak slowly and clearly and are willing to help.

80 training sessions of 45 minutes

Communicative learning goal: The participants are able to greet and say goodbye face to face or over the telephone appropriately to the communicative situation, as well as they can present themselves and others. The presentation includes details over the name, address, residence, age, hobbies, job, language, nationality and the daily routine, even though the formulations are very simply structured.

The students can ask simple personal questions and questions about places, formulate requests, ask directions and make a route description. They can also talk about food, name preferences; they can order in a restaurant, pay and have simple talks during shopping. They can arrange appointments face to face or over the telephone, apologize for a delay, comment on simple events in a simple way and express likes or dislikes, as well as opinions over a job.

The students can write information about them on a questionnaire and can find specific Information in a text.

They understand descriptions about a person, questions, requests, simple directions description and informational tips on the radio when the conversation partners speak slowly and clearly and are willing to help.

108 training sessions of 45 Minutes

On this basis you can follow simple conversations over the phone and participate adequately.

The lessons are divided into 6,5 to maximum 8 lessons per day, from Monday to Friday. However, our students are encouraged to do homework and use our virtual classroom, even after the lessons, at home. The student is asked for 2 or 3 hours of self-study every day.

With this schedule, the students will get level B1 in 4 months and level B2 in six months.

All courses can be certified by an official TELC exam.
